"I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do."
John 13:15
Forming Diocesan Leaders
The artwork depicts Jesus washing St. Peter's feet. Jesus (see John 13:3-17) directs his disciples to imitate him in service of others. As in the past, Jesus continues to issue his call to servant leadership to his followers, especially those who would serve as leaders.
The Diocesan Educational/Catechetical Leadership Institute was launched in February 2010. It has been revamped to serve the professional development needs of both new administrators as well as more veteran administrators.
Track I is designed to orient new or nearly new diocesan leaders with the knowledge needed to assist them as a diocesan educational / catechetical leader. Its format provides 11 one-hour online presentations plus an accompanying pre-recorded Q & A with the presenter.
Track II provides a new series of topics presented by nationally known speakers for veteran administrators with the option of either participating in a live Q & A with each presenter or listening to a recording of that Q & A.
Track I will be available to registered participants online throughout 2011 starting in January 2011. Track II will be available in monthly installments starting late January throughout 2011.
A special bonus “Integration” session by Leland Nagel will be provided for all who register for the entire series for Track I or Track II.
This Leadership Institute is designed for those leaders who serve the Bishops in Diocesan level roles as Vicar, Secretary of Education, Superintendent of Schools, and Directors/Staffs of Diocesan Office of Religious Education or other office staffs with a catechetical responsibility. It is sponsored by the National Catholic Educational Association Departments of Chief Administrators of Catholic Education and Religious Education, the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership, and the Secretariats of Catholic Education and of Evangelization and Catechesis, USCCB.![[home]](images/logo.gif)
